În primele 17 versete din Matei 1, întâlnim 46 de oameni a căror viață se întinde pe 2.000 de ani.
Unii au reputații dubioase, precum cele patru bunici ale lui Iisus: Tamar, Rahab, Rut și Bat-Șeba, patru femei zdrobite de multă mizerie în viața lor.
Nu lipsesc în Biblie dramă, triumf, tragedie și scandal - Marea poveste de mîntuire a lui Dumnezeu.
Personajele umane și-au jucat viața de triumf sau grea tragedie pe scena vieții, în timp ce strigau periodic la un manager de scenă nevăzut: „Tu nu știi cum e aici jos !”
Iov a fost cel mai năvalnic, aruncând lui Dumnezeu această acuzație: - "Ai tu ochi de carne? Vezi tu așa cum vede un muritor?" (Cartea lui Iov 10:4 în Biblie).
Din multele motive pentru Întruparea lui Dumnezeu , cu siguranță unul trebuia să răspundă acuzației lui Iov: - „Ai tu ochi de carne”?
Pentru o vreme, Dumnezeu a avut ! (P. Y).


Sunday 22 Dec. God's  grand redemptive story.
In the first 17 verses of Matthew 1, we meet 46 people whose lifetimes span 2,000 years. 
Some had shady reputations, like the four grandmothers of Jesus: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba, four broken woman with plenty of mess in their lives.
 There is no shortage in The Bible of drama, triumph, tragedy and scandal - God's  grand redemptive story. 
Human characters acted out their lives of small triumph and large tragedy onstage, while periodically calling to an unseen Stage Manager, "You don't know what it's like out here!" 
Job was most brazen, flinging to God this accusation: - "Do you have eyes of flesh? Do you see as a mortal sees?" (Book of Job 10:4 in Bible). 
Of the many resons for Incarnation, surely one was to answer Job's accusation: - "Do you have eyes of flesh"?
