Natanael sub smochin

Duminică 9 martie : Sub smochin.

Iisus a spus: „Natanael, te-am văzut sub smochin!” (Ioan 1:48).

Evreii aveau o imagine prin care simbolizau idealul: „Fiecare om sub smochinul lui!”, sau o metaforă astăzi, „Fiecare om în propria bibliotecă!”

Intelectul nostru nu este destinat să fie un scop în sine, ci doar un mijloc pentru a urma mintea lui Dumnezeu.

„Pe scurt, Biblia, de la Geneza 3 la Apocalipsa 22, spune povestea unui Dumnezeu marcat de dorința de a-și recupera familia. Iisus este fiul risipitor al Tatălui risipitor care a dat tot ce i-a încredințat Tatăl, pentru ca eu să pot deveni ca el și să mă întorc cu el în casa Tatălui său” (P. Yancey).

Jesus said : "Nathanael, I saw you under the fig tree!" (John 1:48).
The Hebrews had a motif by which they symbolized the ideal: "Every man under his own fig tree !", or a metaphor today, "Every man in his own library!"
Our intelect is not intended to be an end in itself, but only a means to the very mind of God.
'In a nutshell, the Bible, from Genesis 3 to Revelation 22, tells the story of a God reckless with desire to get his family back. Jesus is the prodigal son of the prodigal Father who gave away everything the Father had entrusted to him so that I could become like him and return with him to his Father's home' (P. Yancey).

But Moses was able to see only after he took off his shoes...
