Pilda samarineanului milostiv / întelept : Legea dragostei.

Folio dintr-o Evanghelie Rossini din sec. 6, avind aureola in cruce in jurul capului Bunului Samarinean - sens alegoric.

(1Ioan, 4:20)

The Parable of the Good / Wise Samaritan: The Law of Love.
Folio from a Rossini Gospel from the 6th century, having the halo in cross around the head of the Good Samaritan - allegorical meaning.

"A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among robbers who, after stripping and wounding him, left, leaving him almost dead. By chance, a priest was going down that way and, seeing passed him by" (Luke 10:25).
1. The priest, in the dilemma of 'being good' or 'being correct' in the liturgical rules, did not choose love over legalism.
2. The Samaritan followed the saying: "If you have to choose between 'being good' or 'being right ', choose to be good and you will always be right ".
3. St. John the Evangelist says:
"He who does not love his brother whom he sees,
he cannot love God whom he does not see.
And we have this commandment from Him: He who loves God must also love his brother!" (1 John, 4:20)
