24 September, Jesus calls the first Disciples .
Jesus was putting Himself in step with his prospect. He knew that the minds of busy men are in motion, so passing along the shores of the lake Gennesarret, He saw some fishermen He wanted as disciples. Their minds were in motion, their hands were busy with their nets, their conversation was about conditions in the fishing trade, but they spent the night working hard and caught nothing.
“Come with Me”, He said, “and I will make you fishers of men !“(Luke 5).
Fishers…that was a word they could understand…fishers of men… that was a new idea…what was he driving at…it sounded interesting…well, what is it, anyway ?
 
 
24 septembrie, Iisus îi cheamă pe primii ucenici.
Iisus Se punea în pas cu perspectiva lui. El știa că mințile oamenilor ocupați sunt în mișcare, așa că trecând pe malul lacului Gennesarret, a văzut câțiva pescari pe care și-a dorit ca ucenici. Mintea lor era în mișcare, mâinile erau ocupate cu plasele lor, conversația lor era despre condițiile din comerțul pescuitului, dar și-au petrecut noaptea muncind din greu și nu au prins nimic.
„Veniți cu Mine”, a spus El, „și vă voi face pescari de oameni!” (Luca 5).
Pescari... ăsta era un cuvânt pe care îl puteau înțelege... pescari de oameni... era o idee nouă... la ce conducea... suna interesant... ei bine, ce este, oricum?
