Duminica, Ziua Creștină.

Istoria sa poate fi urmărită încă din anul 32 d.Hr.

O astfel de schimbare a calendarului a fost monumentală.

Trebuie să se fi întâmplat ceva cataclismic pentru a schimba ziua de închinare din Sabatul evreiesc, a șaptea zi a săptămânii, în duminică, prima zi.

În Fapte 20:7, Sfântul Luca spune simplu: „În prima zi a săptămânii ne-am adunat să frângem pâinea...”, un model stabilit.

Creștinii au spus că schimbarea a venit din cauza dorinței lor de a sărbători ziua în care Iisus a înviat din morți.

Această schimbare este cu atât mai remarcabilă când ne amintim că primii creștini au fost evrei.

Its history can be traced back to the year A.D. 32.
Such a shift in the calendar was monumental.
Something cataclysmic must have happened to change the day of worship from the Jewish Sabbath, the seven day of the week, to Sunday, the first day.
In Acts 20:7, St. Luke states simply : "On the first day of the week we gathered to break bread...", an established pattern.
Christians said the shift came because of their desire to celebrate the day Jesus rose from the dead.
This shift is all the more remarkable when we remember that the first Christians were Jews.
