17 dec. Profetul Daniel, Despre Puterea Rugăciunii.
Daniel a fost luat captiv în Babylon în anul 605 înainte de Hristos (Cartea Daniel din Biblie).
Oamenii răi îl urau pe Daniel pentru că noul rege Darius tocmai l-a făcut al doilea cel mai important om din regat.
"Daniel este prea bun, au spus ei. Nu-l vom surprinde niciodată făcând ceva rău. Se roagă lui Dumnezeu în fiecare dimineață, la prânz și seara. Să facem o lege ca toată lumea să se roage numai regelui, timp de 30 de zile".
L-au convins pe regele Darius să facă noua lege.
- "Daniel nu se supune noii tale legi, i-au spus regelui!"
- "Sper că Dumnezeul tău, Daniel, căruia te rogi, te va izbăvi de leii flămânzi din groapă!”, a spus regele Darius.
Regele Darius nu a putut dormi în noaptea aceea. Dimineața a alergat la groapa cu lei.
- "Daniel, a fost Dumnezeul tău în stare să te salveze?"
Regele a fost nespus de bucuros când a auzit vocea lui Daniel...
La multi ani celor ce-i poartā numele!
 

 

17 Dec. Daniel, A story about prayer.
Daniel was taken captive to Babylon in 605 înainte de Hristos. 
Bad man hated Daniel because the new King Darius just made him the second most important man in the kingdom. "Daniel is too good, they said. We will never catch him doing something wrong. He prays God every morning, noon, and night. Let's make a law that days that everyone must pray to the king only, for 30 days". 
They talked King Darius into making the new law.
- "Daniel is not obeying your new law, they sais to the King!" 
- "I hope your God, Daniel, to whom you pray, will rescue you from the hungry lions in the den!", said King Darius. 
King Darius could not sleep that night. In the morning he ran to the lions' den.
- "Daniel, was your God able to save you?"
The King was overjoyed when he heard Daniel's voice...
