Iisus a pus în inima Împărăției Sale reciprocitatea mâncării în comun și a vindecării publice,
contactul uman fără discriminare,
și contact divin fără intermediar.
Iisus mânca în Betania, în casa lui Simon, care a fost vindecat de lepră.
Maria, sora Martei și a lui Lazăr, a venit cu un alabastru cu parfum foarte scump și l-a turnat pe capul lui Domnului Hristos .
Iisus știa că aceasta era pregătirea pentru înmormântarea sa și a spus: „Unde se va propovădui această Evanghelie prin lume, se va spune și ceea ce a făcut ea, în amintirea ei” (Matei 26:13).
 
 

The scent of Mary.
Jesus put at the heart of His Kingdom the reciprocity of shared eating and open healing,
human contact without discrimination, 
and divine contact without intermediar.
Jesus was eating in Bethany in the home of Simon who was cured of leper.
Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, came  with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume and pored it on Jesus' head.
Jesus knew that this was to prerare Him for burial and said, "Wherever this gospel is preached through the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her" (Matthew 26:13).
