”They left Jesus and returned to their way of life!” (John 6).

And this because He asked them to eat God, His body and blood in order to have life (Theophagy).

In the Orthodox Church when the priest consecrates ritual bread and wine on the altar of a church, a miracle is considered to take place, called transubstantiation, in which the bread and wine (Eucharist) are mystically transformed into the body and blood of Jesus Christ, which is then consumed. This practice is described in John 6:53-58.

„L-au părăsit pe Iisus și s-au întors la modul lor de viață!” (Ioan 6).

Și asta pentru că El le-a cerut să-l mănânce pe Dumnezeu, trupul și sângele Său pentru a avea viață (Teofagie).

În Biserica Ortodoxă, când preotul sfințește pâinea și vinul ritual pe altarul unei biserici, se consideră că are loc o minune, numită transsubstanțiere, în care pâinea și vinul (Euharistia) sunt transformate mistic în trupul și sângele lui Iisus Hristos, care se consumă apoi. Această practică este descrisă în Ioan 6:53-58.
