Duminică, 10 septembrie, Nicodim, „Apărătorul lui Iisus”.
Mai întâi îl vizitează pe Iisus într-o noapte pentru a discuta despre învățăturile lui. (Ioan 3).
A doua oară când este menționat Nicodim, el le reamintește colegilor săi din Sinhedrin că legea cere ca o persoană să fie ascultată înainte de a fi judecată (Ioan 7).
În cele din urmă, Nicodim apare după răstignirea lui Iisus pentru a oferi mirodeniile obișnuite pentru ungerea morților și îl ajută pe Iosif din Arimateea să pregătească trupul lui Iisus pentru înmormântare (Ioan 19).
Nicodim este opusul fratelui bun din Pilda Fiului Risipitor, un cărturar modest și un fariseu nesigur, care încearcă să înțeleagă și să creadă în Iisus.
 

Sunday 10 September, Nicodemus, "The Defender of Jesus".
He first visits Jesus one night to discuss Jesus' teachings (John 3).The second time Nicodemus is mentioned, he reminds his colleagues in the Sanhedrin that the law requires that a person be heard before being judged (John 7).
Finally, Nicodemus appears after Jesus' crucifixion to provide the customary spices for anointing the dead, and assists Joseph of Arimathea in preparing the body of Jesus for burial (John 19).The opposite of the good brother from the Parable of the Prodigal Son, a modest scholar and an uncertain Pharisee, trying to understand and to believe in Jesus.
