"It is of no use walking anywhere to preach,
unless our walking is our preaching".(St. Francis of Assisi).
Our Lord Jesus Christ told the rich young man (Matthew 19:16) to keep the commandmends of the Decalogue in order to gain eternal life. He added, "go, sell what you have and give to the poor", in order to become an apostle.
The same commandments learned St. Paul and presented them as demands of Christian morality (Romans 13:9), and summed them in the saying, "Love your neighbor as yourself".
He added, "I would rather die" than to use the right to have a material support from preaching the Gospel of Christ (1 Chorinthians 9:15).
No one appreciated his principle, and that's why it's good. If it were a grand principle, its armor would be too heavy. Only the humble go on long journeys destined to finish it.(Constantin Noica).
