LOOK AT CHRIST, THE VISIBLE GOD!

It is possible to described God by naming certain characteristics. We can say God is all-powerful, all-knowing , and eternal. But knowing about God is not the same as knowing God. So how can we really understand the mysterious, invizible, eternal God?

The author of Colossians gives us a clue. Apostle Paul  calls Jesus "the image of the invisible God" (Col 1:15). If we want to know about God, who is hidden from us in mistery, we look at Christ. Christ has existed for all eternity; through Christ, all things were created; and in Christ all things continue to "hold together". God decided to use Christ as the way in which all creation would be reconciled to God.

Is there still the unknown? Yes. We cannot comprehend God completely. But we can understand more about God by getting to know more about Jesus Christ (W. Becker).
