Sf. Cruce, Podul.
Din glezne pironite si tîmple scuipate,
din coaste lovite si buze crāpate,
din dungile cnutului adînci de pe spate,
din bratele deschise cu palmele sparte,
din pleoape cāzute peste ultima noapte
si dîrele fruntii din spini lācrāmate,
din cuie si lemne însîngerate,
întinsu-ne-a Tatāl un pod peste moarte... (Marius Iordāchioaia).

St. Cross, Bridge.
From nailed ankles and spit temples,
from bruised ribs and chapped lips,
from the stripes of the deep fur on the back,
from open arms with broken palms,
from drooping eyelids over the last night
and the browbones of prickly thorns,
of nails and bloody wood,
the Father stretched us a bridge over death... (Marius Iordāchioaia).
