The Night of St. Basil.
The Great Exorcist, St. Basil was aware of the power, mist and fog of our enemy.
In the Garden, the Evil Spirit put a spell on the human mind and changed the image of God into an angry, ugly beeing.
'The Beauty and the Beast' is an alegoric story of the human fall in the Garden of Eden.
A thick fog filled the air and the man couldn't see the path ahead, or even his horse below him.
Pierre takes a rose from The Rosebush.
The Best shouted: - How dare you steal from Me?
- I'll pay for the flower, I just wanted a rose for Beauty, cried Pierre.
- You 'll pay with your life, or you live if you send Beauty to me...
In the end Beast was lying under the Rose Bush, (? the Cross) dying, but saved by Beauty, the Virgin.
The spell was broken by Love.
"I had wasted much time on follies and spent nearly all of my youth in vain labors and devotion to the teachings of a wisdom that God had made foolish.
Suddenly, I awoke as out of a deep sleep : I beheld the wonderful light of the Gospel truth, and I recognized the nothingness of the wisdom of the Princes of this world" (St. Basil)
We start the New Year 2024 reading the Exorcism Prayers of St. Basil in the church, to fight evil forces.
St. Basil, pray for people bearing your name and for all of us!
Happy New Year!
