Duminica a 3-a din Postul Mare, Drumul Crucii .

 

„Ia-ți crucea, jugul meu este ușor și povara mea ușoară! (Matei 16:24)
„Ia-ți crucea: predă întregul sine natural, toate dorințele pe care le crezi nevinovate,
precum și pe cele care le crezi rele - toată ținuta.
Îți voi oferi un nou sine în schimb. De fapt, Eu mă voi da pe Mine Însumi: voința Mea va deveni a ta”.
Lucru groaznic, aproape imposibil, este să-ți predai tot sinele (toate dorințele și precauțiile) lui Hristos.
Dar este mult mai ușor decât ceea ce încercăm să facem în schimb: să rămânem ceea ce numim „noi înșine”, să păstrăm fericirea personală drept marele nostru scop în viață și, totuși, să fim „buni”.
Biserica nu există pentru nimic altceva decât pentru a atrage pe oameni în Hristos, pentru a-i face niște mici Hristoși.
Pași:
- Nașterea din nou;
- Îmbrăcarea cu Hristos;
- Hristos fiind format în noi;
- A avea mintea lui Hristos.
Noi, oamenii, putem fi atrași în Hristos și putem face parte din acel cadou minunat pe care Tânărul Prinț al Universului vrea să-l ofere Tatălui Său: pe sine Însuși și, prin urmare, noi în El (Ioan 18:21) (C.S.Lewis).

 

 

The 3rd Sunday of Lent, The Cross is the sigh of the Son of Man.

"Take up your  Cross, my yoke is easy and my burden light! (Matthew 16:24)
"Take up your cross : hand over the whole natural self, all the desires which you think innocent,
as well as the ones you think wicked- the whole outfit.
I will give you a new self instead. In fact, I will give you Myself: my own will shall become yours".
The terrible thing, the almost impossible thing, is to hand over your whole self (all your wishes and precautions) to Christ.
But it is far easier than what we are trying to do instead: to remain what we call ‘ourselves’, to keep personal happiness as our great aim in life, and yet at the same time be ‘good'.
The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs.
Steps:
- Being born again;
- Putting on Christ;
- Christ being formed in us;
- To have the mind of Christ.
We, people can be drawn into Christ and be part of that wanderful present which The Young Prince of the Univers wants to offer to His Father : Himself and therefore us in Him (John 18:21) (C.S.Lewis).
