THE APPROACHABLE GOD.
1. He is ever ready to hear my cry (Psalm 138:3). We are greatful that the "welcome" mat is out, and that we cannot wear out our welcome with You. We come with boldness into Your presence today.
2. The Lord is approachable and receptive to the forgotten man (138:6). May we be worthy of Your respect, and make the most of Your approachableness by forming an intimate and lasting friendship with You.
3. He understands our thoughts (139:2). We are greatful because You have an interest in us. Our case history is known to You and that opens the door for communication and understanding.
4. He is acquinted with all of our ways (139:3). Since You deal with us according to Your perfect understanding of us, we have full confidence in You to bring out the best in us.
5. He understands our words (139:4). Teach us the art of saying the right thing, in the right way, at the right time. May our words be constructive and enriching.
6. He is close to us (139:7-8). May we maintain a consciousness of You that enables us to practice Your presence always and in all ways.
7. The approachable God has power to do what needs to be done (139:14). We are overwhelmed by Your power and amazed at Your desire to use this power to handle the problems we have.
