THE GOD WHO MADE US CAN REMAKE US.
1. WE WORSHIP THE GOD WHO IS OUR MAKER (Psalm 95:6). As our Maker we know that You have a special interest in our welfare. Once more we say to You: "Make us! Make us! After Your will and in Your likeness!".
2. Our Maker can make us tender-hearted instead of tough-hearted (95:7-8). We want to avoid everything that would make our hearts hard, and affirm everything that would make our hearts tender and obedient.
3. Generous-hearted instead of greedy-hearted ( 96:8). May we master the art of giving to You first, others second, and ourselves last.
4. Purity to take place of pollution (96:9). You can do for us what needs to be done. We want our lips chastened, our loylalties focused, our motives cleanssed, and our desires purified.
5. Our Maker can help us to see the right things ( 97:6). Keep our hearts fixed on You, so our eyes will see what is akin to You, and what meets with Your approval.
6. We either serve the God who made us, or the god we make (97:7). We desire to be totally captivated by our Maker, so He can bring to fulfillment our dormant capacities, and bring to realisation our highest ideals.
7. Our Maker will help us to love good and hate evil ( 97:10). O Lord, tranform our relationship to the world, so that we can know Your good, and perfect, and acceptable will for us.
