SOMETHING TO SING ABOUT.
1. We can sing about the power of the Lord (Psalm 59:16) All hail the power of Jesus' name.
2. We can sing of His Mercy (59:16) We join voices with those of all tongues and tribes and peoples to declare"We will sing of Your mercies in the morning"
3. About His Being a refuge in the time of trouble (59:16) We blend our voices as the sound of many waters to acclaim You as our Hiding Place until the storm passes by.
4. We can sing about amazing things (60:3, 12). We are glad that we can live in the realm of the astonisning, the amazing, the adventuresome, through the events that come our way from You.
5. About moving forward and upward (61:2) May we keep pace with Your will for our lives, so we will eventually come unto the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ.
6. We can sing about our spiritual Heritage ( 61:5) A look into the past gives us a chance to face the future with the type of faith that says that we can make our plans large, since God is our Partner.
7. About the joy of keeping our accounts up-to-date with the Lord (61:8) We can have a song in our hearts even in the night, even after every trial, after every mile.
Not for ease or worldly pleasure, not for fame my prayer shall be. Gladly will I toil and suffer; only let me walk with Thee !
