Pîine pentru multi (Matei 14:14)

Hrănirea celor cinci mii.
De fiecare dată când duc pâinea și vinul la slujba bisericii noastre, îngenunchiez, mă gândesc la soția mea și la fiicele mele, pe nume.
Îmi văd nepoții și tații lor.
Îmi simt mama și tatăl meu decedat.
Mă gândesc la dulcele meu Iisus, care a ridicat privirea spre ceruri, a rupt pîinile și a dat ucenicilor, care, la rândul lor, le-au dat mulțimilor (Matei 14:14).
În slujbă mă simt legat de familia mea, de istoria mea, de comunitatea mea.
Sunt calm, reflexiv și pașnic.

 

„Singurul lucru pe care trebuie să-l oferi vreodată unei alte ființe umane este starea ta de a fi” (Ram Dass).
 

Feeding of Five Thousand.
Each time I take the bread and wine to our church service, I kneel down, think of my wife, and my daughters, by name.
I see my grandchildren and their fathers.
I sense my deceased mother and father.
I think of my sweet Jesus, who looked up to the heavens, broke the loves, and gave to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds (Matthew 14:14).
In the sacrament I feel tied to my family, my history, my community.
I am calm, reflective and peaceful.
