'HERO'.
Some people have a great effect on others. Sport and pop stars have many fans who follow them. Some change their whole life to be like their 'hero'. Not all 'heroes' set their fans a good example, however.
"Jesus was a man with power. He healed the incurably ill, walked on water, multiplied food, and even raised the dead. Huge crowds followed Him wherever He went. This was a man who was brave. He fearlessly criticized the authorities and calmly faced His Roman executioners. This was a man who was tough and yet gentle. This was a man who believed in His mission so completely that He gave up all home conforts, family and personal ambition to fulfil it. This was a man who was prepared to die..." "I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, as your spiritual worship...Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them..." (Romans 12)
