Răscumpărarea (Geneza 3:15)

„Biblia vorbește atât de mult despre o Putere întunecată din univers – un spirit rău puternic care a fost considerat Puterea din spatele morții, bolii și păcatului.

Creștinismul crede că această Putere Întunecată a fost creată de Dumnezeu și a fost bună când a fost creat și a greșit. Creștinismul este de acord cu dualismul (două puteri egale și independente în spatele tuturor) că acest univers este în război. Dar nu crede că acesta este un război între puteri independente. Crede că este un război civil, o rebeliune și că trăim într-o parte a universului ocupată de rebeli: teritoriul ocupat de inamic.

Creștinismul este povestea despre cum regele de drept a aterizat, ați putea spune că a aterizat deghizat și ne cheamă pe toți să luăm parte la o mare campanie de sabotaj.

Când mergi la biserică, asculți cu adevărat mesajul secret de la prietenii noștri: de aceea inamicul este atât de nerăbdător să ne împiedice să mergem. El o face jucându-se pe îngâmfarea, lenea și snobismul nostru intelectual” (C.S.Lewis)

Redemption (Genesis 3:15)

"The Bible is talking so much about a Dark Power in the universe - a mighty evil spirit who was held to be the Power behing death and disease, and sin.
Christianity thinks that this Dark Power was created by God, and was good when he was created, and went wrong. Christianity agrees with Dualism (two equal and independent powers at the back of everything) that this universe is at war. But it does not think this is a war between independent powers. It thinks it is a civil war, a rebelion, and that we are living in a part of universe occupied by the rebel : enemy-occupied territory.
Christianity is the story of how the rightful king has landed, you maight say landed in disguise, and is calling us all to take part in a great campaign of sabotage.
When you go to church you are really listening-in to the secret wireless from our friends: that is why the enemy is so anxious to prevents us from going. He does it by playing on our conceit and laziness and intelectual snobbery" (C.S.Lewis)
