Duminică 10 iulie: Un centurion roman demonstrează credința, nu religia (Matei 8)
Pe vremea când Biblia a fost scrisă în ebraică, nu exista un cuvânt ebraic pentru „religie”. Religia era integrată în viață în general, nu pusă într-un compartiment separat așa cum este astăzi. Religia era parte din plantarea semințelor, cultivarea semănăturilor și apoi mâncarea roadelor. A face oale de lut și a spăla rufele au fost fie o parte a voinței lui Dumnezeu, fie un act de respect față de El (Andrew Parker).
Sutașul roman știe că ordinea interioară aduce ordine în lume.
El i-a cerut Domnului Iisus doar „să spună cuvântul”!
Religia lui era viața și viața lui de zi cu zi era religie.
La sfârșitul Liturghiei, preotul le spune oamenilor să ia credința acasă și în viața de zi cu zi:
- „Să mergem în pace acasă”.
Și oamenii răspund: - „În numele Domnului”!

At the time when the Bible was written in Hebrew, there was no Hebrew word for 'religion'.
Religion was integrated into life in general, not split off into a separate compartment as it is today.
It was part of planting seeds, farming crops, and then eating them.
Making clay pots and washing clothes were either a part of God's will or an act of respect for Him (Andrew Parker).
The Roman centurion knows that the inner order will bring worder in the world.
He asked Lord Jesus just "to say the word"!
His religion was life and his every day life was religion.
At the end of Liturgy, the priest tells people to take religion/faith home and in every day life :
- "Let's go home in peace".
And people respond : - "In the name of God"!
