A SERVANT.

Jesus washes the disciples' feet. Washing guests' feet was a job for a household servant.

Jesus, as the lowliest slave, washed and dried his disciples' feet. In order to be a leader, a person must be a servant. This is not a comfortable  passage ( John 13, 7) for leaders who find it hard to serve those beneath them. Are you  willing to follow Christ's example of serving? How do you treat those who work under you ?

 

THE LAST SUPPER. ( Luke 22)

The Passover commemorated Israel's escape from Egypt when the blood of a lamb painted on their door-frames saved their firstborns sons from death. As the spotless Lamb of God, Jesus' blood would be spilled in order to save his people from the penalty of death brought by sin
