The Christians’ gathering- place for prayers in the town of Colossae was in the house of Philemon and his wife Apphia.
St Apostle Paul in “Philemon” calls this ‘ the church in your house’. Philemon was a missionary . At the time of a feast of the pagan goddess Artemis, Christians were gathered in the house of Phelemon. The pagans buried them up to the waist in the ground and stoned them to death
