ZACCHAEUS (Luke 19)
Tax collectors, Jews by birth but working for Romans, were considered traitors; they were making themselves rich by gouging their fellow Jews.
By giving to the poor and making restitution to those he had cheated, Zacchaeus demonstrated inward change by outward action.
